Hi Andy, on the topic of William Whitcombe, if you can't give a working URL what you can do is give more information, such as title, author, date, page number for the newspaper and that is good as others can confirm it. So we just need one more independent reference. You certainly have a claim of importance, just lacking references. If you created the page yourself it would probably not be deleted, but we put the bar a bit higher at AFC so we can be sure it will comply with inclusion requirements.
