  1. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
  2. In a new tab/window, go to the [//tools.wmflabs.org/makeref/ citation generator], click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
  3. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
  4. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like {{cite web | .... }}, copy the whole thing).
  5. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
  6. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:

There was a wave site and a movement was there by Vikram Mondal, a Delhi IITian. And after long inspection and discussion Mr Sitush retained the page and redirected. It only the reference.202.8.117.192 (talk) 17:52, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

File:Information.svg Hello, I'm Uanfala. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Uanfala (talk) 10:34, 4 March 2023 (UTC)

Indic Script

File:Information blue.svg - Please do not add any Indic script, to any of our India related articles, as you did at Parimal Suklabaidya, as this contravenes WP:NOINDICSCRIPT - Thank you - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:28, 7 July 2023 (UTC)

Sylheti language

We have arrived at a consensus on the text after a moderated discussion. Please do not try to change it. Thanks. Chaipau (talk) 19:07, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

:I didn't find any discussion on the talk page about that statement which I have edited. The adjacent citation (Mahanata and Gope) of that particular statement clearly states that many linguists consider Sylheti as a distinct language and also a dialect of Bengali by some others. I have only added that information according to the adjacent citation. Please don't revert my edit. Snusho (talk) 20:38, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

Bengali-Assamese languages

I have reverted your deletions. The Dhaka variety of the Bengali language forms its own standard. Bengali has two standards---the Kolkata and the Dhaka standards. Please look for references given in the article. Chaipau (talk) 14:36, 3 August 2023 (UTC)

:I know Bengali language has two standard forms. But the Dhakaiya kutti dialect is not the standard form of Bengali language. Dhakaiya kutti is spoken in Old Dhaka by Kuttis whereas Dhaka standard is spoken in all over the Dhaka city. Snusho (talk) 15:14, 3 August 2023 (UTC)

Misuse of the edit summary 'Fixed typo'

Do not unnecessarily misuse the edit summary! For example, if you are adding a wikilink, write 'Added wikilink', and not 'Fixed typo'! Hope you understand. Thanks. Ekdalian (talk) 06:58, 28 September 2023 (UTC)

Revision on Devapala (Pala dynasty)

Hello, I have noticed your revision on Devapala (Pala dynasty) in which you added the portrait which claims to be of Devapala. You cannot use a twitter post as a source of image. Read WP:IUP. Ajayraj890 (talk) 12:32, 28 October 2023 (UTC)

Adding unsourced material with deceptive edit summaries

File:Information orange.svg Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. OhNoitsJamie Talk 14:27, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

: The source you added [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Banerjee&diff=1186657337&oldid=1186493201 here] simply mentions a few people named Banerjee; it does not support the additional text you added. OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:43, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

::I think you have misunderstood. It supports the additional text. Please see the page no. 38 of that source which I added in Banerjee article. I also added the page no. while citing source in that article. Snusho (talk) 20:07, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

File:Nuvola apps important.svg Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at :Mandal (surname), you may be blocked from editing. Ram1751 (talk) 23:22, 20 July 2024 (UTC)

:I didn't add any unsourced content at Mandal (surname) article. The existing khagendranath Bhowmik's source (page no.23), in that article clearly mentions their Namasudra status, which is a Scheduled Caste community in Bengal. Snusho (talk) 12:21, 21 July 2024 (UTC)

::You just added that source to support your edit. Your previous edit stated, "Mandal is also a Scheduled Castes surname, most commonly found among Namasudras, many from which has become "social elite", according to Clark." The cited source (Clark) did not support your edit. It is important that you understand this. Ram1751 (talk) 00:18, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
