Template:Medals table

Hi! This → [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Grand_Prix_de_France_(figure_skating)&diff=prev&oldid=1287936271] was not needed. The order of lines doesn't matter. The {{tl|Medals table}} template sorts the lines automatically by medal count (in descending order).
It doesn't matter in which order the participating countries are entered into the template, the template will show the lines in descending sequence by the number of medals won. --Moscow Connection (talk) 01:38, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

:{{Ping|Moscow Connection}} Thanks for your opinion. I know the template sorts the lines automatically by medal count, but following Template:Medals_table#Example edit the information did not wrong and no rules specify we can't listing in the order. I don't understand why he always revert my edit many times. It's definitely not disruptive editing. Thanks. Stevencocoboy (talk) 02:27, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

::I agree. It is not "disruptive editing" from your part. It is a purely a "content dispute".
But you see, Bgsu98 prefers it that way, with the countries sorted alphabetically. And he can explain his case to the Wikipedia administrators better than you. Cause he is a native speaker or English. Therefore, he will be in favor with the administrators.
I think you should stop trying to change the medal tables. They are not worth you being blocked.
Just do other things and forget about these tables. Cause it would be reckless of you to get blocked over such a minor thing like this. --Moscow Connection (talk) 03:04, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

:::{{Ping|Moscow Connection}} Thanks for your opinion. To be honest, it's not my first time edit medal table. I'm following Template:Medals_table#Example edit the information and no one revert it. Actually I also see many medal tables are following the example. So I don't understand why this guy prefers using alphabetically and require the other users following him. It's illogical. Thanks. ::::You can certainly continue following the example given in the documentation, but in the articles unrelated to figure skating.
Just accept the situation as it is. "The guy" (as you put it) is basically the only one who edits the figure skating articles now. He formats the tables the way that is convenient for him. It would be very hard to win this argument with him.
P. S. WP:CONTENTDISPUTE links to Wikipedia:Dispute resolution requests, where you can request a third opinion (an opinion from a third party). But I wouldn't advise you to waste your time on lengthy discussions. The figure skating tables are not worth it. --Moscow Connection (talk) 03:37, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
