Managing a conflict of interest

File:Information.svg Hello, SublimeWik. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{tl|edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see {{Section link|Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI}});
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see {{Section link|Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming}});
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.{{#ifexpr: ({{#time: U | now}} - 1739055696) < 13150000 | {{PAGENAME}} | }} Hemiauchenia (talk) 23:01, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

Why not send those “evidence” to arbcom.

Idk if you are aware the guy you are talking about is banned here. MartianTechnician (talk) 23:14, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

:The "guy I am talking about" is (link redacted) who is not just posting here but specifically targeting pages and discussions that relate to me (as part of his long-standing harassment campaign against me).

:Just as a PSA for readers. (Your profile says you are Plutocow, i.e. part of the [https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/User:Plutocow RationalWiki brigade]). SublimeWik (talk) 23:27, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

::If you have a concern about on-wiki behavior by an editor here, post about it on Wikipedia. Linking to an offsite page is disruptive, as it prevents proper discussion and review of your concerns. You can post about it on Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents or contact ArbCom if you feel the information needs to be confidential (e.g., it would "out" an editor). — rsjaffe 🗣️ 01:02, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
