:{{u|Gerda Arendt}} I totally get the too tired bit. The adventure of life is out of control right now ;) Hope all is going okay for you. SusunW (talk) 22:49, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
:: Thank you, that's a good way to put it. Take care! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 05:20, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
Another fascinating family
Over a year ago, you helped me with accessing something on Ancestry for my article about the first Black citizen of the German Empire. I recently finished it: Mandenga Diek. As always, it turns out that his daughters are at least as fascinating as the man himself, and his great-grandchildren are also notable activists. But I will leave them for another time. Hope your recovery goes well and you can sort out everything with your mom. —Kusma (talk) 21:18, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
:Good to hear from you {{u|Kusma}} and glad you finished the article. My husband and I have both recovered, so it's just trying to deal with the family issues, which will take time. Mom, at 92 is beginning to have some issues. All of us kids live over 2,000 miles away and we are trying to figure out systems. It's not easy. She wants to be independent as long as she is able. We want to respect that, but we want her safe. Right now we are rotating visits. SusunW (talk) 21:44, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
