Closing AfDs
If someone other than the nominator has supported deletion, the nomination can't be withdrawn. The nominator can change his/her !vote, but the discussion stays open. AfD is typically a difficult, fraught space, and someone with as few edits as you have closing a discussion means there's always good cause to raise an objection if anyone disagrees with you. I'd strongly recommend participating in many more discussions before attempting a close. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 18:00, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
Let's reduce the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement!
Hi SwineHerd, please allow me to get in touch with you because you have stated sympathy with environmental causes on your user page. I would like to invite you to check out the Environmental impact project page on Meta, where I am trying to create some momentum to reduce the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement. My first goal is to have all the Wikimedia servers run on renewable energy. Maybe you could show your support for this project as well? Thank you, --Gnom (talk) 15:18, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
Nomination of [[:Joshua Claybourn]] for deletion
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joshua Claybourn (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Notifying you about the discussion, since you have made significant contributions to articles related to this subject. --IndyNotes (talk) 04:08, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
[[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Old Arkansas City High School]]
Hi SwineHerd. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but with only 123 edits to mainspace you are almost certainly not yet sufficiently informed of Wikipedia policies and guidelines to be commenting in maintenance areas. Get more experience by patrolling for vandalism: when you have made 200 mainspace edits you can enroll at the WP:CVUA and learn all about it and how to obtain a special user right. Happy editing! A survey to improve the community consultation outreach process
Hello!
The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking to improve the community consultation outreach process for Foundation policies, and we are interested in why you didn't participate in a recent consultation that followed a community discussion you’ve been part of.
Please fill out [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfWWUofC6-DmmNK0s7TBRd522YujyKWbixJflILnZQ6UYgveQ/viewform this short survey] to help us improve our community consultation process for the future. It should only take about three minutes.
The privacy policy for this survey is [https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Participation_in_Partial/Temporary_Office_Actions_consultation_2019 here]. This survey is a one-off request from us related to this unique topic.
Thank you for your participation, Kbrown (WMF) 10:45, 13 November 2019 (UTC)
World oil market chronology from 2003
I didn't understand why you made [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=World_oil_market_chronology_from_2003&type=revision&diff=952703446&oldid=952694229 this change] until I read [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions/Archive_1056#Weight_of_scientific_opinion_over_lore this]. I didn't see how what you did was an improvement, but this makes it clearer.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 21:33, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
