How do we fix the Nancy content?
Your deletion comment was, 'badly sourced trivia'. I only saw 2 tags requesting citations. Most had citations. How many citations do you think is best when restoring the deleted content, because I think some of it is pretty useful and don't mind taking the few minutes to find citations.

:I tried, and none were worth saving. They were either sourced to the work itself, therefore violating WP:SYNTH if the source does not explicitly spell itself out as a Nancy parody or reference (while also being very promotional toward the work in question), unsourced entirely, or cited to unreliable sources like Know Your Meme. If you can find reliable, third-party sources that explicitly mention any of them as a notable parody or reference to Nancy, then they can be reinstated. Right now, I don't think any are likely to have gotten any third-party coverage. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 17:04, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
::I think it's appropriate to reinstate, perhaps reworded if you like, information about Bill Griffith being influenced by Bushmiller's Nancy. This is well documented in interviews with him around the time he published Three Rocks.
::ArtForum had an entire article about the cultural influence of Nancy on other art (https://www.artforum.com/features/j-hoberman-bill-griffith-three-rocks-nancy-550917/) including listing Andy Warhol and Joe Brainard, as did Hyperallergic who also included a mention of McCloud's 5-card Nancy (https://hyperallergic.com/959257/ernie-bushmiller-nancy-comic-strip-finally-finds-a-home/), and Richmond Magazine listed off Warhol, Brainard, McCloud, and Sid and Nancy t-shirts in a review of Newgarden and Karasik's How to Read Nancy - pretty famous examples of how Nancy influenced culture, so it should be easy enough to find more from those books or articles written around the time they were published.
::But before I look up citations, I want to ask how dug-in you are on your position that the entire section remain deleted, because I see someone else reinstated it asking for a less drastic deletion, and then you undid their reinstatement and it looks like a slapfest that I'm not interested in joining. If you're open to improving the article, please reinstate the text you removed and just add a tag saying citations are needed. :::What's the point in reinstating information that you know is unsourced? Unsourced information can and may be removed. The Hyperallergic source only very passingly mentions any derivative work of Nancy (several of them are breezed by in one sentence), and the Artforum link is paywalled so I can't read it.
