Speedy deletion nomination of :Draft:Clearcover

A tag has been placed on :Draft:Clearcover, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the . Hello, Tlvernon. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia.

I'm sorry, but  :Draft:Clearcover has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD#G11. "This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to conform with Wikipedia:NOTFORPROMOTION." These must be rewritten from scratch from "reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject." See WP:RS.

Wikipedia:Identifying blatant advertising#Typical signs of blatant advertising contains information about content to avoid. For more information on content that may be perceived as promotional, click User:Dlohcierekim/promo. These are just rough guides. Pages can avoid all those pitfalls and still be glaringly obvious ad copy. Sometimes pages meeting WP:CSD#G11 give the appearance of an editor violating Wikipedia:Conflict of interest or WP:PAID. Please read and heed them if they apply to you. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template references at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.

If you want to try again, please use the Article Wizard or articles for creation to guide you through the creation process.

The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems.

Speedy deletion nomination of :File:Headshot of Matt Sweeny.jpg

File:Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on :File:Headshot of Matt Sweeny.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the Non-free fair use tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

Orphaned non-free image File:Matt Sweeny, headshot.jpg

File:Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading :File:Matt Sweeny, headshot.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Replaceable fair use File:Matt Sweeny headshot2.jpg

File:Ambox warning.svg

Thanks for uploading :File:Matt Sweeny headshot2.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

 1. Go to the file description page and add the text Di-replaceable fair use disputed below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
 2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on [ this link]. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:51, 11 December 2018 (UTC)

: Hi Tlvernon. Non-free images of still living persons are pretty much never allowed except in certain cases such as those given in item 1 of :WP:NFC#UUI. Since you're being paid to create the article about Sweeny, perhaps you can request that either he or his company release a free image for use on Wikipedia. They can do this a number of ways, but the easiest would be for him or someone associated with him to follow :c:COM:OTRS#When contacting OTRS is unnecessary or :c:COM:OTRS#Licensing images: when do I contact OTRS? and upload the file directly to Commons. If, however, this is the file Sweeny wants to release, just have him send a :WP:CONSENT email to :WP:Contact OTRS. Please note that either he or someone at his company needs to send the email from an official email address (company email address) and the copyright license they choose has to be one of those listed in :WP:ICT/FL. They also need to be the copyright holder of the file: in the case of photos, this is generally the photographer unless it was a work for hire or there was a copyright transfer agreement. Finally, they should also understand that once a file has been uploaded and released under a free license, said license cannot be cancelled at a later date if there's a change of heart. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:04, 11 December 2018 (UTC)

Full compliance with WP:PAID

Hello Tlvernon. I noted from your talk page that you occasionally edit Wikipedia for compensation, and have described yourself as a freelancer in the past. This is allowed by Wikipedia policy, and you have thus-far done a good job disclosing your connections. However, note that on your userpage you must provide links to any and all off-wiki sites on which you advertise Wikipedia editing services, per Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure. Please make the necessary links at your earliest possible convenience. Thank you. SamHolt6 (talk) 18:13, 13 February 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of :Draft:Everykey

{{Quote box|quote=

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on :Draft:Everykey, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Luminar Technologies (January 31)

File:AFC-Logo_Decline.svgYour recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by AngusWOOF were:

The comment the reviewer left was:

Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.
