Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of longest-running Philippine television series, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page TV5. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of :Wikipedia:Cyclone Gombe
A tag has been placed on :Wikipedia:Cyclone Gombe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fram (talk) 13:33, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

About Tropical Storm Nalgae (2022)
2022 Tropical Storm Nalgae obviously caused more serious damage than the other storms named Nalgae. Whether or not the name Nalgae will be retired is yet to be decided, but should the article title be changed to Tropical Storm Nalgae as a convention? 126.237.91.25 (talk) 17:47, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
:I think it would be better to wait until the damage estimates and the death toll become clearer; for now, the article's title should stay as "Tropical Storm Nalgae (2022)" . Vida0007 (talk) 18:49, 29 October 2022 (UTC)

WikiProject Weather: Map Dot & Template/Infobox Colors
Dear project member,
This message is being sent out to encourage new ideas and feedback on those proposed in regard to the colors debate for WikiProject Weather. For those who are unaware of what's been happening over the last year, I will give a brief summary. We have been discussing proposed changes to the colors of the dots on tropical cyclone maps and templates and infoboxes across the entire weather project in order to solve issues related to the limited contrast between colors for both normal vision as well as the various types of color blindness (MOS:ACCESS). We had partially implemented a proposal earlier this year, however, it was objected to by a number of people and additional issues were presented that made it evident this wasn't the optimal solution. We tried to come up with other solutions to address the issues related to color contrast, however, none of them gained traction and no consensus was generated.
We need your help and I encourage you to propose your own scale and give feedback on those already listed. Keep in mind that we are NOT making a decision on any individual proposal at this time. We are simply allowing people to make proposals and cultivate them given feedback from other project members. Please visit our project page for additional details. The proposal phase will close no later than December 31st at 23:59 UTC. NoahTalk 03:39, 21 November 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of :Category:2023 disasters in Russia
A tag has been placed on :Category:2023 disasters in Russia indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! Talk! 02:04, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
:Feel free to delete it. It seems that the lone article in that category (Naryan-Mar United Aviation Squadron Flight 1095/1096) has been deleted yesterday. Vida0007 (talk) 09:15, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
::@Liz: Or maybe not. It looks like the 2022–2023 Russian mystery fires has since been added to the category. However, as I do not see the "contest this speedy deletion" button, I am instead writing this reply to inform you about this development.
::Regards, Vida0007 (talk) 16:34, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
:::Well, to be honest, not many empty category speedy deletion taggings (CSD C1) are "contested". Typically, if editors believe that an empty category shouldn't be deleted, they do what you did which is to assign an article to it so it is no longer empty. There are no legitimate reasons for keeping an empty category unless it falls under a limited list of exceptions: a category redirect, a WikiProject category that is at times empty, category disambiguation pages and categories being discussed at CFD. So, there is no good argument to make to keep an otherwise empty content category. Plus, if a category is deleted simply for being empty and it later is needed, it can be restored upon request or recreated. This is one of the few speedy deletion criterias where that is possible. But you found an appropriate article to put in this category so it's been untagged. Kind of an interesting article, too, I wonder when these fires will stop being called "mysteries" and instead will be identified as espionage or arson. Liz Read! Talk! 21:12, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
::::Oh, I see. To be honest, I was unfamiliar with how speedy deletion works in empty categories, and thank you for giving me a very thorough and informative overview about it. As for the article itself, it really is interesting: these fires have been going on for almost a year now – the first anniversary of the first fire would be on the 22nd of this month – and yet, these remain unsolved (and these fires still happen, with the most recent one occurring just 2 days ago). File:Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in :Charles Edward, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 23:45, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
:Thank you but no, there is nothing in WP:MOS that talks about that. Nothing is said about requiring a wikilink for royal children who do not have their own English Wikipedia articles in their parent's Wikipedia article.
:I thought the norm is just to put it as plain text in the parent's article, like in the case of Prince François, the second son of Luxembourg's the heir apparent (with his wikilink redirecting to his father's article instead)? That is basically the same situation here: the wikilink to Princess Caroline Mathilde of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha just redirects to her father Charles Edward’s article (although that is because it was decided to be deleted and be converted into a redirect roughly three years ago). about redirected page 2023 China floods to Doksuri
I don't think it is appropriate to roughly classify the floods in China in 2023 as Dussuri, as there are many reasons for floods, and the residual storm in Dussuri is only a part of it, and there are other reasons, all of which are too much content added to Dussuri. Not very conducive to cross language linking,It seems that there is a complete Chinese entry, but there is no corresponding English entry, or the English entry has been redirected to Dussuri
They are like 2021 Henan floods, perhaps worth presenting the content separately Dallenwil (talk) 01:05, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
:Yup, I agree. While I was the one who redirected it to a sub-section of the Doksuri article, I just followed HurricaneEdgar’s lead (aka the one who initially made the move to redirect 2023 China floods to Typhoon Doksuri). I think it is time to remove the redirect and expand its contents. Doksuri is long gone but the floods are still ongoing; clearly this is no longer due to Doksuri (or its remnants). Could you please review Cyclone Jasper to determine if it should be nominated for a GA article? 🎩Incognito Fedora🎩 (talk) 16:29, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
:I already went through the Cyclone Jasper article and I have to say that I am impressed with how it turned out. Relatively, it may be shorter than other tropical cyclone articles but I have to say that this one is well-detailed and well-cited. I think this is already good to be nominated for GA – the article's current state reminds me of some of the Western Pacific systems that received GA status – even if the article's topic is still considered to be active by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Thankyou for correcting my error that the Rochdale and Kingswood by-elections were taking place the same Thursday. My mind was too full of this week's media hoo-ha about the suspension of the Rochdale Labour candidate which created the impression in me of an upcoming shambolic by-election this week. Now I know that things have more time to calm down over there as Harold Wilson said, "A week is a long time in politics" and voters have more time to decide their choices.Cloptonson (talk) 06:30, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
