Nice job on the 2011 Collegiate Rugby Championship page. A few thoughts on how to possibly improve the section on Competing Teams: (1) lists look better if you use bullets (just put an asterisk before each item on the list), (2) consider linking the school names to their Wikipedia pages, (3) it would be great if you would add a brief description of each school's previous participation in the tournament (e.g., Dartmouth is defending champ, Maryland did not participate last year, etc.) Barryjjoyce (talk) 01:39, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

:Barry, I went ahead and moved this to my talk page. Let's talk here in the future. Thanks for your reply and advice. We seem to have been thinking on the same wavelength; I went ahead and made the following edits the other day:

• Bulleted the list
• Linked all the teams to their pages. I had been planning to do this, but didn't have the time when I initially made the page.
• I was thinking about making a table with some of possible information in it: Team/School, Number of appearances in tournament, Most recent appearance, Highest place in tournament, Number of championships, etc. However, I hit a snag when I went to check on the 2010 tournament for the standings from that year, and found that no such page exists. I think my next order of business (our our's, if you're interested) would be to make this page. Listing of the pools is [http://bleacherreport.com/articles/374411-broadcast-schedule-set-for-collegiate-rugby-sevens-championship here]. The results can be found [http://bleacherreport.com/articles/402408-college-rugby-utah-upsets-cal-to-win-sevens-championship here]. From the references, I think that that year the official title of the tournament was "USA 7's Rugby Collegiate Championship Invintational" (CCI). For the 2012 page, I'm hesitant to add too much info to the team list itself. When the actual tournament happens, I'll obviously add all the info on the matches and scores in the same sense as the page of the 2011 tournament. After doing this, I feel like a simple list of the teams would be redundant and unnecessary. Do you think that the results should replace the team list, or do you think that if any about past performances etc. was added to the team list, it would justify it staying there? Screamer: looking forward to collaborating with you. Feel free to delete my suggestions and your responses from your talk page; it looks like you've already incorporated most of them, so they are no longer necessary.

Making a 2010 page has been on my to-do list, but realistically I probably wont get to it any time soon, so take a stab if you're interested, it doesn't need to be anything elaborate. I like the idea of the table you had in mind - if you are going to do something that detailed, it may be better to include on the main CRC page, instead of the 2012 CRC page.

In general, my two main CRC related goals are (1) improving the content of the CRC main page - which will have significantly higher number of viewers (see "page view statistics" under the "view history" tab) - than on the individual 2012-2012 years; and (2) increase the traffic to the CRC pages, in part by creating short rugby sections on the Wiki pages of the various college rugby programs - I've already done Navy, MD, Army and a couple of others - and including links there to the CRC. If you have other ideas how to improve the content or increase traffic to the CRC site, let me know.

Also, I expect the viewership of the WIki CRC pages will start building in mid-May and peaking around the time of the tournament in early June, so whatever improvement goals we identify, I'd like to have most of them done by mid-May. Looking forward to working with you.

WallScreamer: Nice work on continuing to improve the various CRC pages. I had a couple of more suggestions for the 2012 tournament page. First, the [http://rugbymag.com/tournaments-special/crc/4488.html pools] have been announced, so those can be added. Second, adding an "Infobox" to the top right corner would be a nice addition. :Hey, Guerillero. The page looks good. Personally, I tend to stay away from editing abstract phrases and movements within the scene like that. So much of the explanations you find are usually a matter of opinion and conjecture, and there's very few definitive facts. It's very difficult to make encyclopedic content about it, and usually makes my head hurt thinking about it. I think you did an awesome job, though. The page is infinitely better than its state when I make my comments on it (which, by the way, is a case in point of why I don't bother with that sort of thing), and I like what you did with all the citations.

:This summer, I've been reading through American Hardcore by Stephen Blush. I've been tagging citations that interest me and appear useful about specific bands. When I'm done, I plan on going to the various pages and fixing them up using the book as a citation. I think this can help to improve a lot of the 80s hardcore pages.

:Also, cheers indeed. It's very cool to find another sXe (I'm assuming), rugby-playing, punk rocker Wikipedian. I must admit that it's a bit of an honor to hear from you on my talk page. I just want to ask you about this sentence, that I think you added to the article:

"He was briefly mentioned in the Jim Jarmusch short film "Coffee and Cigarettes: Somewhere in California" by Iggy Pop, who suggested using Robo's drumming talents to an offended Tom Waits."

Do you have a reliable source that confirms that Robo is the same "giant Robo" that Iggy Pop mentioned in this short film? I think he is the same but I cannot comfirm it. I'm researching about Robo because I'm part of a Colombian film crew. We're making a documentary film about him.

Any information you can give me about this matter, I'll be grateful.
