Classification of the Blanding Formation as a geologic feature in Iowa

Hello.

Recently, I was updating the article on the Blanding formation, which is located in Northern Illinois and Southern Iowa. All the sources I was able to find were from Illinois, and they all state that the formation is more in Illinois than in Iowa. Furthermore, it is named after a town in Illinois.

In January of 2022, you updated the webpage to say 'Geologic formation in Iowa, United States." I am not an expert in this topic, and am new to Wikipedia. Therefore, I was wondering if you remembered the reason you classified it as primarily in Iowa? There is some chance I misunderstood the sources I read, and wanted to clarify with you before I changed anything. Again, I am new to Wikipedia, so if this is not the right place to ask this question, please let me know.

Thank you! Likely human (talk) 15:17, 17 February 2025 (UTC)

:@Likely human Dang, it's been so long lol. I placed it because the version in 2022 was "The Blanding Formation is a geologic formation in Iowa." and so that's where the short description came from. I am not sure though as people seemed to have updated it to include Illinois. Wiiformii (talk) 19:07, 17 February 2025 (UTC)

::Oh, I was the one to add in the Illinois info. I just didn't want to do any further and more significant edits without asking someone more knowledgeable than myself. Pretty much everyone else who edited the page is either no longer active on Wikipedia, or was a bot, which is why I asked you. Thank you for your insight! • So you still don't want to read and understand my efforts on that article. You are playing witch hunting for those who have no power, right? You constantly destroy but still condemn me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2402:800:B8E1:6A0F:4C5B:75CD:504F:35C3 (talk) 19:25, 5 March 2025 (UTC)

Lachnanthes caroliana

Lachnanthes caroliana is an accepted species name, and is not a misspelling of "caroliniana".[https://www.ipni.org/n/134317-2][https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/134317-2][https://www.gbif.org/species/3715422] Tom Radulovich (talk) 18:29, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

:Thanks, it seems like the person who updated it to a misspelling didn't know. Wiiformii (talk) 20:26, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

Umm

[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Administrator_intervention_against_vandalism&diff=prev&oldid=1287512277] did you mean to do that? Knitsey (talk) 19:00, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

:Oops. No, not sure what happened there lol. Wiiformii (talk) 19:01, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

::Aha, I guessed it was a mistake but we've had new accounts impersonation established editors and I'm so tired that I thought I should check. Knitsey (talk) 19:03, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

:::Lol, thanks though, I didn't even notice tbh Wiiformii (talk) 19:05, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
