File:Information orange.svg Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you.{{PAGENAME}}Gor1995 𝄞 10:14, 25 November 2024 (UTC)

:Hi Gor1995 - thanks for your message! I wonder if you would be willing to reconsider - from what I can tell, the external link I added meets all of the required Wikipedia criteria. My intention in adding this link was not to increase web traffic from Wikipedia to the New Muses Project website but rather to add an additional resource extremely similar to those that are already posted in Beach's External Links section (such as IMSLP and MUSA). I also attempted to add links to the Wikipedia pages of a select few other composers for whom an original biography and myriad resources exist in the form of a New Muses profile (including Maria Teresa Agnesi and Violet Archer), but these seem to have been removed as well. Given my intention is to strengthen these composers' Wikipedia pages rather than add spam, could you provide advice on how I can upload these profiles without them getting taken down? For example, given the nature of the material on the New Muses profiles, would it be better to upload these pages as References rather than External Links?

:Thanks for your time and consideration! Yearlongbread (talk) 21:58, 10 January 2025 (UTC)

I've started a discussion on Wikipedia:External links/Noticeboard about whether these are suitable links to be adding. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 19:02, 29 January 2025 (UTC)

:Thank you - I've just commented on your post there. I appreciate your concern for keeping Wikipedia professional and accessible!! Yearlongbread (talk) 20:31, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
