:As I've noted elsewhere, I'm not the artist in question - I'm an associate professor in Emergency Medicine in Wisconsin, but lived in Southern California in the 1980s and 1990s and am a bit of amature music historian for the area, particularly for the Inland Empire - an area about 50 miles outside of Los Angeles. I'm trying to figure out how to embed photos in articles. I think this one which shows Mr. Brayer with Ramblin' Jack is a good example of the role he played as a connector across generations from older styles of bluegrass to younger artists who he mentored, like Ben Harper - who got his start at concert events arranged by Mr. Brayer. It is a subtle thing, I understand that from your perspective this may not meet standards for notability, but these events were held from about 1980 or 82 to about 1995 and there is little trace of this stuff left - in part because it predates much of what is available currently on the internet. I see that ephemeral nature of this as an exact reason to try to preserve this, which is what I've done for some other things too, like minor modifications to the entry for Blind Joe Hill, another artist who was based in Southern California.
