Varpaisjärvi is a former municipality of Finland. The municipality was located in the Northern Savonia region in the province of Eastern Finland. It had a population of 2,899 (31 October 2010) and covered a land area of {{convert|483.02|km2}}. The population density was {{convert|6.00|PD/km2}}.

The municipality was unilingually Finnish.
