Vaughan is a locality in the Shire of Mount Alexander in the state of Victoria, Australia south of Castlemaine and east of Guildford.
Vaughan is situated at the confluence of Fryer's Creek and the Loddon River which has the Lawson spring, a drinkable mineral water spring.{{citation needed|date=March 2021}} The spring location is sometimes referred to as Vaughan Spring{{cite web | title=Vaughan Spring Day Visitor Ara (Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park) | website=Parks Victoria | url=http://www.parks.vic.gov.au/places-to-see/sites/vaughan-spring-day-visitor-ara | access-date=17 March 2021}} or Vaughan Springs.{{cite web | title=Vaughan Springs Mineral Reserve | website=Castlemaine, Maldon & Surrounds | date=4 June 2020 | url=https://www.bendigoregion.com.au/visit-castlemaine-maldon/vaughan-springs-mineral-reserve | access-date=17 March 2021}} Vaughan Springs was previously the location of a large gold rush township called The Junction.

Vaughan Post Office first opened on 15 March 1859 and closed in 1922. The nearest business is the Guildford general store, and the Guildford Hotel.
