Venero Armanno is an Australian novelist. He was born in Brisbane of Sicilian parents.{{cite web |url=http://www.randomhouse.com.au/authors/venero-armanno.aspx |title=Venero Armanno |publisher=Random House Australia |access-date=15 June 2012}} He received a BA from the University of Queensland, and later an MA and PhD in Creative Writing from the Queensland University of Technology.
