Vescovato ({{IPA|fr|vɛskɔvato}}; {{langx|co|U Viscuvatu}}) is a commune in the Haute-Corse department of France on the island of Corsica.

Its name derives from the Italian term for "bishopric". ({{Langx|it|vescovado}}) According to Lucien Auguste Letteron (a Corsican Historian), the name would originate from the Bishop of Mariana, Opizzu Cortincu (1218-1260 ?) who founded the new village.
