Vibrante is a Linux distribution created by Nvidia and used for at least their Drive PX 2 platform series.{{Cite news|url=http://vrworld.com/2016/04/05/nvidia-drive-px2-next-gen-tegra-pascal-gpu/|title=DRIVE PX 2 Shows Next-Gen Nvidia Tegra, Pascal Processors|last=Valich|first=Theo|date=5 April 2016|work=VR World|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160406025905/http://vrworld.com/2016/04/05/nvidia-drive-px2-next-gen-tegra-pascal-gpu/|archive-date=6 April 2016|url-status=live|language=en-US}} The name is listed as a registered trademark of Nvidia.[http://www.geforce.com/legal-information GeForce Legal Information], last updated 2014 (at time of first check) First appearances of the name were seen in about the year 2010 when it labeled some rather universal multimedia engine including audio, video and 3D building display that was in tight cooperation with Audi company.[http://www.it-times.de/news/nvidia-will-audi-beliefern-19697/ nVidia will Audi beliefern (nVidia wants to supply Audi)], January 2010

At NVidia TechDay in December 2015, the distribution was reported with version numbers 3.0 for Jetson TK1 Pro (aka. X3) and Drive CX, and with version 4.0 for Drive CX and PX platforms.{{Cite web|url=https://d23rjziej2pu9i.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/09163603/NVIDIA_TechDay_December2015.pdf|title=COMPUTING POWER IS THE NEW HORSEPOWER|date=December 2015|website=NVIDIA|archive-url=https://perma.cc/62G4-KPAZ|archive-date=13 July 2018|url-status=live}} Jetson TK1 is mentioned as running with the Linux4Tegra package instead.[http://on-demand.gputechconf.com/gtc/2014/presentations/S4714-nvidia-vision-toolkit-adas-photography.pdf NVIDIA VISIONWORKS TOOLKIT], last edited April 2014 Companies like Toradex have built and published e.g. sample application codes on top of it.[http://developer.toradex.com/knowledge-base/linux-(colibri-t20)-sample-code#NVIDIA_OpenGL_ES_20_Samples Embedded Linux Sample Code], last checked 10/2016 Abbreviations of Vibrante Linux like V3L, V3Le or V4L with the number representing the version plus terms like L4T (Linux4Tegra, a supposed sibling) and assigned to certain devices can be found in some history and release docs, e.g. for Nvidia VisionWorks.[http://developer.download.nvidia.com/embedded/L4T/r23_Release_v1.0/VisionWorks-1.0.25-Release-Notes.txt VisionWorks-1.0.25-Release-Notes.txt], located via Google search On top of Vibrante it is possible to run Nvidias VisionWorks Toolkit.[http://on-demand.gputechconf.com/gtc/2014/presentations/S4714-nvidia-vision-toolkit-adas-photography.pdf NVIDIA VISIONWORKS TOOLKIT], last edited April 2014 Vibrante is one of the targets that OpenCV4Tegra (OpenCV for Tegra; an OpenCV derivate with Tegra-specific optimizations) can run upon.{{Cite news|url=https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/develop/software|title=Embedded Software {{!}} NVIDIA Developer|work=NVIDIA Developer|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160305125540/https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/develop/software|archive-date=5 March 2016|url-status=dead|language=en}} Further there is the Nvidia PerfKit Package that copes with Vibrante.[http://developer.download.nvidia.com/tools/files/PerfKit-4.4.0-ReleaseNotes.txt PerfKit-4.4.0-ReleaseNotes.txt], located via Google search

Spin offs

It seems that Vibrante Linux was used to derive a QNX-based version, thus probably using the QNX kernel as the base system along with several higher level software components (e.g. from GNU and other sources) as already present from the Vibrante Linux environment. Namely the package qnx-V3Q-23.16.01 is reported to run on the Nvidia Jetson TK1 Pro board.{{Cite web|url=https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/940116/running-qnx-onto-jetson-tk1-pro-1860-/|title=Running QNX onto Jetson TK1 Pro (1860) - NVIDIA Developer Forums|date=6 June 2016|website=NVIDIA Developer Forums|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180316023144/https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/940116/running-qnx-onto-jetson-tk1-pro-1860-/|archive-date=16 March 2018|url-status=live}}

At CES 2010 it was announced that Nvidia would be introducing its GPUs to all 2010 Audi vehicles, to power its third generation MMI. 3G MMI used Vibrante as its multimedia engine to deliver in car entertainment.{{Cite web|url=http://www.nvidia.com/object/io_1262839759949.html|title=NVIDIA and Audi Marry Silicon Valley Technology with German Engineering{{!}}NVIDIA|date=7 January 2010|website=NVIDIA|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180418010529/http://www.nvidia.com/object/io_1262839759949.html|archive-date=18 April 2018|url-status=live|access-date=18 April 2018}}
