Victor John William "Vic" Skermer {{post-nominals|country=AUS|CBE}} (1908{{spaced endash}}November 1992) was an Australian public servant. Life and career
In 1925, Skermer joined the Commonwealth Public Service as a mechanic-in-training at the Postmaster-General's Department.{{cite news|url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article110708247|title=Mr Skermer retires|date=5 May 1973|newspaper=The Canberra Times|location=ACT|page=9}}
Prime Minister Robert Menzies announced Skermer's appointment as Auditor-General on 2 June 1961.{{cite news|url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article130713888|title=The new Auditor-General, Mr. V. J. W. In November 1992, after several months of illness, Skermer died aged 84.
