A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), Lye was elected as a Member of Parliament for Ang Mo Kio GRC in 2025.
Early life and education
Lye was born in 1962 to a Hakka family with 4 siblings. Career

Lye led Peregrine Securities Singapore Pte Ltd until it was acquired by Santander Group in 1998 and was renamed as Santander Investment Securities Singapore Pte Ltd.
