Early life

Iftodi was born on 13 January 1969 in Lalova, which was then part of the Moldavian SSR.{{cite web |title=Alegeri 2005 |url=http://www.e-democracy.md/files/alegeri-2005.pdf |website=www.e.democracy.md |access-date=25 April 2025}} Before working, she graduated from the Faculty of Law at the State University of Moldova in 1993. Political career

From 2004 to 2006 she served as Minister of Justice.{{cite news |title=По следам Тэнасе: Откуда у преемницы главы минюста три сада, 7 участков и дом? |url=https://www.md.kp.media/daily/26805/3840460/?ysclid=m9wvfvd4og203084123 |access-date=25 April 2025 |work=KP |date=13 March 2018}} She was revoked from her position in 2006 by Vladimir Voronin as he stated he was dissatisfied with some of the work within the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the Accession of Moldova to the European Union, and he replaced her as he said he wanted effective results.
