Viet and Nam ({{langx|vi|Trong lòng đất}}, "Underground", Lit: "The Heart of the Earth"), also spelled Việt and Nam, is a 2024 romantic drama written and directed by Trương Minh Quý. Starring Thi Nga Nguyen and Daniel Viet Tung Le, the film is about two coal miners who are lovers, cherishing fleeting moments before one seeks better economic opportunity abroad. Leading up to the departure, they also search for the body of one of their fathers, a fallen soldier. The film was banned in Vietnam for its portrayal of “a gloomy, deadlocked, and negative view” of the country.{{Cite web |last=Frater |first=Patrick |date=11 May 2024 |title=Touching Teaser Revealed for Un Certain Regard’s ‘Viet and Nam’ (EXCLUSIVE) |url=https://variety.com/2024/film/news/cannes-un-certain-regard-viet-and-nam-trailer-1235999411/ |access-date=11 May 2024 |website=Variety |language=en-US}}{{Cite web |last=Wong |first=Silvia |date=13 May 2024 |title=Cannes Un Certain Regard drama ‘Viet And Nam’ banned in Vietnam (exclusive) |url=https://www.screendaily.com/news/cannes-un-certain-regard-drama-viet-and-nam-banned-in-vietnam-exclusive/5193368.article |access-date=13 May 2024 |website=Screen Daily |language=en}}{{Cite web |last=Opie |first=David |date=2025-03-26 |title=‘Việt and Nam’ Director Trương Minh Quý on the Dream Logic of Queer Cannes Contender and Why It Always Had to End the Way It Did |url=https://www.indiewire.com/features/interviews/viet-and-nam-director-truong-minh-quy-logic-ending-1235111234/ |access-date=2025-06-01 |website=IndieWire |language=en-US}}
