Vietanna is a genus of Asian cicadas in the tribe Leptopsaltriini (subtribe Leptopsaltriina), erected by Young June Lee and Hong Thai Pham in 2021;In: Pham H-T, Lee YJ (2021) A new genus and species of the subtribe Leptopsaltriina (Hemiptera: Cicadidae: Leptopsaltriini) from Vietnam, with a key to the genera of Leptopsaltriina. Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology, 24(2021), 1202–1205. [https://doi.org/10.1016/j.aspen.2021.07.011 DOI] p: 1203. they named it after Vietnam and the similar genus Tanna. Species have been recorded from China and Indochina.
