Vinnius is a genus of South American jumping spiders that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1902.{{cite journal| last=Simon| first=E.| year=1902| title=Description d'arachnides nouveaux de la famille des Salticidae (Attidae) (suite)| journal=Annales de la Société Entomologique de Belgique| pages=363–406| volume=46| author-link=Eugène Simon}} The genera Frespera and Arnoliseus were split from this genus in 2002.
