He also won the gold medal in the men's flyweight event at the 2022 World Taekwondo Championships held in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Career

On 25 June 2017 he won a bronze medal at the 2017 World Taekwondo Championships in Muju losing in the semifinals to the eventual world champion Kim Tae-hun in the Men's finweight (54 kg) competition.{{cite web |url=http://www.taekwondodata.com/vito-dell-aquila.ambh.html |title=DELL'AQUILA, Vito |website=TaekwondoData}}
