History
Since launching in 2018, voco has opened hotels in the UK, Australia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The first locations include the rebranding of 12 hotels from Covivio and the 388-room Watermark Hotel in Gold Coast, Australia.{{cite web |title=IHG launches Voco Hotels |url=https://www.businesstraveller.com/business-travel/2018/06/12/ihg-launches-voco-hotels/ |website=Business Traveller |access-date=26 October 2018 |date=12 June 2018}} In 2018, IHG leased thirteen luxury hotels in the UK;{{Cite web|url=https://www.ihgplc.com:443/en/news-and-media/news-releases/2018/ihg-adds-13-luxury-and-upscale-hotels-in-the-uk|title=IHG adds 13 luxury and upscale hotels in the UK|website=InterContinental Hotels Group PLC|language=en|access-date=2019-03-24}} voco St David's Cardiff Hotel became the first voco hotel in Europe. In 2021, IHG announced 50 hotels had signed up to carry the brand in more than 20 countries.
The first voco hotel in South West Asia opened in Jim Corbett, India in April 2024.
