Geography

Sights are Schloss Friedberg and Schloss Aschach and the church of Saint Charles Borromeo,Frick, Schmid-Pittl: [https://gis.tirol.gv.at/kunstkatasterpdf/pdf/22829.pdf Klosterkirche hl. Karl Borromäus, Karlskirche]. In: [https://www.tirol.gv.at/kunst-kultur/kunstkataster/kunstkataster/ Tiroler Kunstkataster] attached to a Servite convent.Frick, Schmid-Pittl: [https://gis.tirol.gv.at/kunstkatasterpdf/pdf/58611.pdf Tiroler Kunstkataster: Servitenkloster Volders]

Next to the church at the entrance of the village lies the Volderer See,[https://www.seen.de/volderer-see/ Seen.de: Volderer See] a small lake which has shrunk significantly and now resembles a pond.{{cite web |title=Volderer See |url=http://www.geomix.at/seen-badeseen/oesterreich/Tirol/Volderer+See.html |publisher=geomix |access-date=11 May 2021 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20070928181140/http://www.geomix.at/seen-badeseen/oesterreich/Tirol/Volderer+See.html |archive-date=28 September 2007 |language=de}} It has no natural inflow or outflow, and receives water primarily from rain, and also the groundwater of the Inn River. The water quality is moderate, varying between grades B and C, and is often plagued by algae. There is a local legend that a giant blocked the inflow to the lake with a large boulder, causing it to shrink.{{cite web |title=Volders |url=https://www.tirol.tl/de/tirol/innsbruck-und-umgebung/volders/ |publisher=Peer GmbH |access-date=11 May 2021 |language=de}}
