Media requests and release information
Do add any requests for media relating to the collections held at the National Museum - you can see the catalogue listed at http://nationalmuseumindia.gov.in/collections.asp (use the menu) - do indicate the article(s) where they can be used as well. Release of media is not guaranteed at this point of time but requests will help in setting priorities.
Reference requests
If you are seeking any Indian history / culture / antiquities references or pages that need to be looked up, please add them here. Volunteers will try and look them up the library and hopefully also be able to share page photographs with the requester. The museum unfortunately does not have an online library catalogue but do let us know if you have a hunch on any book or journal. Please sign your request so that we can get back to you.
Here is a [https://plus.google.com/photos/102908479117004114739/albums/5964570288946338657 gallery] of some spines of the books in the library to give some sense of what you can find. Due to possibly copyright problems, these images are not on Wikimedia Commons. We have introduced the librarian to WP:RX but for practical reasons it may be easy for us to forward requests to her email addressn. She is open to helping out Wikipedians in the longer run by looking up reference requests.
