Reason: High level of vandalism by IP and new accounts. The page has frequent cases of vandalism. Some users keep inventing new maps for the entity [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mountainous_Republic_of_the_Northern_Caucasus&diff=1278613189&oldid=1277951217], then others reverting [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mountainous_Republic_of_the_Northern_Caucasus&diff=1286903003&oldid=1283736065], then someone else once again adding newly created map but with same borders [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mountainous_Republic_of_the_Northern_Caucasus&diff=1291388646&oldid=1291167338] and so on, with a total disregard for Talk page discussion on this article and the sources provided there against these map. More importantly, an IP user vandalized the page in January by [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mountainous_Republic_of_the_Northern_Caucasus&diff=1271813478&oldid=1266911270 falsifying] the provided quote from the book to change the duration of the entity from 1918-1919 to 1917-1918, which was only now noticed by me and reverted. But after the IP user vandalism someone added [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mountainous_Republic_of_the_Northern_Caucasus&diff=1291388646&oldid=1291167338 a supposed map] of the entity in 1917 when no sources confirm the existence of this entity as independent republic in 1917, and of course no sources were provided by the editor for this new map. Given frequent cases of IP and new user vandalism on this page, which are hard to follow to revert and therefore stick for monthes until someone notices, it would be good to provide extended-confirmed protection for the page.
