Both are focused on Russell A. Brown and topics of his research and promote that person and his work. Look at these two most recent edits from each and they do the same thing on two different articles, [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=N-localizer&diff=prev&oldid=846923098 master], [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Stereotactic_surgery&diff=prev&oldid=846920416 sock], each changing "invention" or "system" to "device"...which is just too wierdly coincidental. They both tend to use whole sentence edit notes as you can see from a glance at their contribs.
If you look at the talk page of k-d tree, in [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:K-d_tree#Construction this section], you will see a very technical discussion between Kirigiri and some other editors about that building balanced k-d trees, where [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AK-d_tree&type=revision&diff=629537353&oldid=629530108 the last comment] is by IP who writes in the voice of Kirigiri earlier in the discussion, says that they haven't seen a certain approach published, and ends with " I'm Russ Brown.". That was on 05:22, 14 October 2014. Kirigirl did not edit that discussion or page subsequently. The proposed sock's first edit was [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=K-d_tree&diff=prev&oldid=655682757 here] on 14:25, 9 April 2015, citing a paper by Russell Brown about balanced k-d trees.

You can do a cu-check if you like but I didn't ask for one. The socking is obvious -- this is very obvious evasion of our process to manage conflicted editing. We love experts but not when they come here to promote themselves. This appears to be yet another socking, self-promoting academic. See ([https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Arifer/Archive example], [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/HRS395/Archive example], [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Mitscientist/Archive example]. - I've [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Kirigiri#Conflict_of_interest_in_Wikipedia raised] the issue of the proposed master's apparent COI at their talk page. Instead of answering, the proposed sock is doing stuff like [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Radiosurgery&curid=1172094&diff=846935519&oldid=846562117 this]. Quack.
