Quality and importance ratings are used within this project to assist in recognizing the best Numbers content and identifying content in need of further work. Articles are assessed through the quality and importance parameters in the {{tl|WikiProject Numbers}} talk page banner; this populates appropriate sub-categories of :Category:Numbers articles by quality and :Category:Numbers articles by importance, which are indexed by the WP 1.0 bot.

To place an article under the remit of the WikiProject, add the {{tl|WikiProject Numbers}} banner (example shown below) to the article talk page. Add "class=" and "importance=" parameters assessed according to the scales defined in the sections below.
