History

For several years now,{{when|date=May 2014}} WGFP had been operating from a long wire antenna instead of a tower.{{cite web|url=https://cdbs.recnet.com/corres/?doc=33076|title=Just Because, Inc. - WGFP (AM), Webster, MA - Facility Identification Number: 50232 - Special Temporaiy Authority|access-date=2023-09-18}} On the site of the tower rests an experimental tower, WX1CFA, using a "crossed field" design.{{Cite web|url=http://www.broadcastengineering.info/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3345|title = Crossed Field Antenna Test - the Virtual Engineer - Broadcast Engineering Forums}}
