The Walk of Flags, or Walk of the Flags, is located in Willson Park, on the Oregon State Capitol grounds, in Salem, Oregon, United States. It features the flags of the U.S. states, displayed in the order in which they were admitted to the Union.

History

The "walk" was dedicated on June 14, 2005, and the nine flags of Oregon's federally recognized Native American tribes were added as a separate display in 2009.{{cite web|title=Walk of Flags|url=http://oregoncapitolfoundation.org/walk-of-flags/|publisher=Oregon State Capitol Foundation|accessdate=September 2, 2017|archive-date=September 3, 2017|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170903072639/http://oregoncapitolfoundation.org/walk-of-flags/|url-status=live}}{{cite web |last=Richard |first=Terry |date=2013-04-05 |title=Oregon Capitol in Salem harbors history nuggets, offers climb to statue on top (photo gallery) |url=http://www.oregonlive.com/travel/index.ssf/2013/04/state_capitols_in_salem_olympi.html |accessdate=2 September 2017 |website=The Oregonian |archive-date=2017-09-03 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170903031835/http://www.oregonlive.com/travel/index.ssf/2013/04/state_capitols_in_salem_olympi.html |url-status=live }} These tribes include: Burns Paiute Tribe, Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw, Coquille Indian Tribe, Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians, Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community, Klamath Tribes, Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, and the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.
