Wawelno {{IPAc-pl|w|a|'|w|e|l|n|o}} is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Komprachcice, within Opole County, Opole Voivodeship, in southern Poland.{{TERYT}} It lies approximately {{convert|5|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} north-west of Komprachcice and {{convert|13|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} west of the regional capital Opole.
The earliest record of the village comes from {{circa|1300}}. The name is of Polish origin, and comes from the word wąwel. In the past, it was known in Polish as Wawelno, Wąwolno and Bowalno.{{cite book|author= |title=Słownik geograficzny Królestwa Polskiego i innych krajów słowiańskich, Tom I|year=1890|language=pl|location=Warszawa|page=343}} Under Nazi Germany, in 1936, it was renamed Walldorf to erase traces of Polish origin.
