The Weehawken Cemetery, like neighboring Hoboken Cemetery,{{cite book |last= Van Winkle |first=Daniel |title=History of the Municipalities of Hudson County, 1630–1923 |year=1923 |publisher=Higginson Book Company |isbn=0832850675 }} is not located in its namesake town of Weehawken but rather on the western slope of the Hudson Palisades in North Bergen, New Jersey,[http://freepages.history.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~murg/cemeteries.htm Hudson Cemeteries] with its main entrance on Bergen Turnpike. Notable burials
