"Weekends" is a song recorded by Australian singer-songwriter Amy Shark. It was released on 17 March 2017 as the second single from her extended play Night Thinker. Shark told Sydney Morning Herald “When I was younger a lot of my time was spent hanging around waiting for people to finish work. They are the best years of your life when you don't have any responsibilities and you just have this shitty part-time job you suck at and you are just waiting until you get to hang out with someone special on the weekend." adding "One of my favourite lines I have ever written is "I call your house phone".
