Nervonic acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid. Its IUPAC name is cis-15-tetracosenoic acid. Shorthand lipid name: 24:1 cis \delta 9, or 24:1 omega 9.
Nervonic acid has been identified as important in the biosynthesis of nerve cell myelin. It is found in the sphingolipids of white matter in human brain. Nervonic acid has been used to alleviate suffering.

Πρόεδρος του Δημοκρατικού Κόμματος εξελέγη από την Παγκύπρια Γενική Συνέλευση της 22ας Οκτωβρίου 2006 ο κ. Μάριος Καρογιάν, βουλευτής Λευκωσίας και για πολλά χρόνια μέλος του Εκτελεστικού Γραφείου.
Ο Μάριος Καρογιάν γεννήθηκε στη Λευκωσία στις 31 Μαίου 1961. Αποφοίτησε από το Κολέγιο «Τέρρα Σάντα». Σπούδασε πολιτικές επιστήμες στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Περούτζια στην Ιταλία, με ειδίκευση στον ιστορικό-διεθνή κλάδο.
Το 1981 εκλέγηκε πρώτος Πρόεδρος της φοιτητικής παράταξης «Αναγέννηση» Ιταλίας και το 1983 πρώτος Πρόεδρος της Φοιτητικής Ένωσης Κυπρίων της Περούτζια. Επί σειρά ετών υπήρξε μέλος της Διοικούσας Επιτροπής της ΠΟΦΝΕ.
Από το 1986 έως το 1992 διετέλεσε Πρόεδρος της Επαρχιακής Επιτροπής της ΝΕΔΗΚ Λευκωσίας και ακολούθως εκλέγηκε Γραμματέας Συνδικαλισμού, θέση που κατέχει μέχρι σήμερα.
Διετέλεσε Διευθυντής του Γραφείου του Προέδρου της Βουλής των Αντιπροσώπων από το Μάιο του 1991 μέχρι τον Ιούνιο του 2001 και με τη συγκεκριμένη ιδιότητα συμμετείχε σε διμερείς και διεθνείς κοινοβουλευτικές δραστηριότητες ως μέλος επίσημων αντιπροσωπειών της Βουλής. Συμμετείχε επίσης στην τεχνοκρατική προπαρασκευαστική ομάδα του Κοινοβουλίου για επεξεργασία και προώθηση του νομοθετικού έργου.
Από το 2003 μέχρι και το 2006 διετέλεσε ως Διευθυντής του Γραφείου Τύπου του Προέδρου της Δημοκρατίας και Αναπληρωτής Κυβερνητικός Εκπρόσωπος.
Από το 1988 είναι μέλος της Κεντρικής Επιτροπής του ΔΗΚΟ και εκλέγηκε μέλος του Εκτελεστικού Γραφείου για δεύτερη φορά τον Οκτώβριο του 2000.
Έγραψε σειρά άρθρων και αναλύσεων για το Κυπριακό, την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση, καθώς και για θέματα γενικότερου προβληματισμού στον κυπριακό και ξένο τύπο. Ως διεθνολόγος και πολιτικός αναλυτής έχει τακτική συνεργασία με κυπριακά και ελλαδικά Μ.Μ.Ε., έντυπα και ηλεκτρονικά.
Είναι μέλος συμβουλίων επαγγελματικών και φιλανθρωπικών οργανώσεων.

Windows 8 is expected for around 2013 release. It will succeed Windows 7. It will be built on the same kernel MinWin in which the Windows 7 is being developed.
In the Windows 8,there is going to be complete overhaul of User Interface. New UX (User Experience) is being developed for the Windows 8. According to some sources, the Windows 8 will be totally explorer less.
One focus that Microsoft has slated for Windows 8 in particular (yes, skipping right over mention of Windows 7) is a total revamp of WTT (Windows Test Technologies), which are the technologies leveraged to test Windows. The WTT team “is looking to make significant changes to it’s infrastructure for Windows 8. We want to address all the major problems [testers and test managers] have faced over the last few years by developing a truly scalable and reliable testing infrastructure.” The current projected timeframe for the WTT architecture and UI overhaul is 18 months. The project manager of Microsoft said, “We will also be on the forefront for what and how we plan for Windows 8.”

DML is an XML format definition tailored to the needs of dimensional results for discrete manufacturing. The purpose is to haul the results between applications that generate or use dimensional information.
A typical scenario is where an inspection device collects dimensional data and sends the information to an SPC package for process analysis or a database for long term storage.
If properly used, DML can be extremely useful by enabling once disparate systems to work together easily.

Angelika Schneider was born in Germany. She came to the US with her parents and became a US citizen upon their naturalization at age 16. When she graduated from college, she moved back to here native country Germany.
The State Department claimed Schneider had lost her US citizenship in accordance with a section of the Immigration and Nationality Act which revoked the citizenship of any naturalized citizen who returned to his or her country of birth and remained there for at least three years.
The Supreme Court held that since no provision of the law stripped natural-born Americans of their citizenship as a result of extended or permanent residence abroad, it was unconstitutionally discriminatory to apply such a rule only to naturalized citizens.
