This article is only of interest because it was pro star Kobe Bryant’s senior year in high school. It is otherwise non-notable. This season is already covered at Kobe Bryant#High school. A dedicated article expanded would only be clutter with unneeded game-by-game minutiae (WP:NOTDIARY). This is similar to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2002–03 St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish men's basketball team, related to another high school season of pro star LeBron James that was also created by the same user. In spite of that AfD, they went and created this Bryant article anyways. —Bagumba (talk) 15:49, 22 June 2018 (UTC)

- Merge to Lower Merion High School since there is some info that can be added to the high school article. Not a fan of these high school season articles though -- maybe the best high school PROGRAMS can get articles, but even then it's a stretch. ~EDDY (talk/contribs)~ 16:24, 22 June 2018 (UTC)

- Delete per nom. DaHuzyBru (talk) 23:45, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. Kobe Bryant (or LeBron James or whomever) being on a team doesn’t make the team season notable. Creating articles for HS teams would be a really awful precedent Rikster2 (talk) 03:11, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Merge and Delete per nom. I could be convinced to make an exception to a generally non-notable team's single season article if it had two hall of fame players on it at one time, but for just one player, the notability is solely because of him, so a merge works. - {{re|timtempleton|Editorofthewiki}} It's great that participants are looking to WP:PRESERVE. In this case, however, Lower Merion High School#Varsity basketball already mentions their championship season in 1996 and Bryant being on their team. There's really nothing left to merge, and this 1995–96 article is poorly sourced also. Frankly, there's better sourced material to borrow at Kobe Bryant#High school. Note also that other similar AfDs from that author at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2002–03 St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish men's basketball team and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1994–95 Farragut Academy Admirals men's basketball team ended in "delete" with no merging.—Bagumba (talk) 18:58, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
