This is more or less a call for clarification: is the National Institutes of Health Director's Pioneer Award sufficiently prestigious to fit under WP:PROF's #2 criterion? If so, perhaps it should not be deleted. If not, I see nothing about this professor that is sufficiently notable otherwise. Delete. --Nlu (talk) 01:51, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

  • Delete. Publication record insufficient to meet WP:PROF C1. The one national award she received is not sufficiently prestigious as suggested by the nom to meet WP:PROF C2. It's an award given to support research with potential and promise. This is not what C2 is getting at. I have little doubt that within a few years Ting will easily pass WP:PROF on several criteria levels, but not yet. --Crunch (talk) 13:27, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
