The result was keep. Given the the nominator's withdrawal and the article's [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=George_Washington%27s_Socks&diff=612974067&oldid=612901815 revamp] after the last outstanding delete !vote was made, I'm happy to call this a consensus to keep the article. • Comment: I don't know... I'm finding a LOT to indicate that it's used in classrooms, such as [http://capocci.pbworks.com/w/page/11207798/George-Washington's-Socks these] [http://www.tattnall.k12.ga.us/gpsunits/4th%20Grade/CCGPS/Reading/2nd9wks%20Reading%20Unit-4th%20grade.pdf pages], the last of which shows that it was used for an entire school district. [http://www.quia.com/quiz/2895241.html This link] is to a Quia test, which is used in classrooms. • Keep. It was tough finding sources for a book that was published back in 1991, but I've found enough to show that it was/is still pretty heavily used in classrooms. I found a few reviews as well. Also, while I know that WP:GHITS is not a valid argument for either keeping or deleting a page, I do have to say that most of my Ghits were mostly educational: either teaching tools for teachers or classrooms like [http://mrsdongell.edublogs.org/2012/05/28/george-washingtons-socks-by-elvira-woodruff/ this one] and [http://www.dailyrepublic.com/news/education-news/students-battle-in-suisun-using-book-knowledge/ this one] using it as part of their curriculum. It's a weak keep for the most part and if anyone wants to create a page for the series itself I'd argue that this could redirect to the main series page, but for right now it's a keep. ::Comment. What a surprise. With the impressive improvements by {{ping|Tokyogirl79}}, with sources showing extensive readership and classroom use, and reviews even, I am withdrawing my deletion nomination. Withdrawn.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 11:55, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
