All murderers aren't notable, in fact, most probably aren't and I can see no evidence that this case garnered anything more than brief local attention. Fails GNG, WP:NCRIME etc... Praxidicae (talk) 17:54, 24 February 2019 (UTC)

  • Keep First of all, it looks like his crime was covered in non-local sources (e.g. [https://www.foxnews.com/story/double-murder-conviction-for-man-who-helped-girlfriend-miscarry Fox News]). This would still not be enough to establish notability if it received only routine coverage at the time of the crime/conviction, but I see evidence of WP:CONTINUEDCOVERAGE and WP:LASTING effects. For example, it's cited as a precedent in [https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/05/26/ariel-castro-death-penalty-ohio-kidnap/2362045/ this 2013 news story]. It's used as an example in [https://www.huffingtonpost.com/glenn-sacks/if-men-got-pregnant-would_b_214494.html this 2009 HuffPost article]. It's given as a case study in [https://books.google.ca/books?id=A3poAgAAQBAJ&pg=PA258&lpg=PA258&dq=%22gerardo+flores%22+abortion&source=bl&ots=LF0LiQX8ds&sig=ACfU3U2FXSSr26dVtCFGHeXJfXMJYTEs1A&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjOn-fAntXgAhXr7YMKHRxLD2s4ChDoATAIegQIAhAB#v=onepage&q=%22gerardo%20flores%22%20abortion&f=false this scholarly book]. Also a [https://scholar.google.ca/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=%22gerardo+flores%22+abortion&btnG= Google Scholar search] turns up several mentions in papers, though admittedly not highly-cited ones. The article needs a lot of work though. Colin M (talk) 20:58, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
