Potentially non-notable minor league baseball player and manager. Just what does a minor league manager need to do to merit an article? This one led his teams to three straight league championship victories. However, as a whole he didn't manage that many games. As a player, he hit only .264. What do you think? Should Ken Staples stay or go? Alex (talk) 20:16, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

  • Keep But only if relevant third-party sources can be found and added. Google News archive has quite a few hits on him, especially in the 50's and the 90's (including the New York Times), but because the entirety of said articles were pay-per-view I have not added them to the article. - SudoGhost (talk) 00:27, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

  • Delete Nothing that would qualify as notable. There were mentions of him on Google news [http://news.google.com/archivesearch?q=%22ken+staples%22&scoring=a&sa=N&sugg=d&as_ldate=1950&as_hdate=1959&lnav=hist1] and [http://news.google.com/archivesearch?q=%22ken+staples%22&scoring=a&sa=N&sugg=d&as_ldate=1990&as_hdate=1999&lnav=hist5], but nothing that would add to notability. Worth a prominent mention in St. Cloud Rox, the Class A team that he managed, but that's about it. Mandsford 14:24, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
