Deprodded without explanation, although the original PROD rationale ({{tqi|Duplicates existing articles:
List_of_largest_cities, List_of_largest_cities_by_area, List_of_countries_by_largest_and_second_largest_cities}}) was a bit off. My concern is that the article fails WP:LISTN, WP:NOTSTATS, and WP:OR: All the data are unreferenced, and the only two references are in the lead about the term megalopolis. Worse yet, the creator claimed that all the data came from other Wikipedia articles. I could foresee a List of megalopolises that has better sourcing than the one in the Megalopolis article, but not this. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 23:17, 7 November 2021 (UTC)

- Comment I wasn't aware the Blue Banana existed. Different nations, so this makes no sense at all. How is it determined? Since it passes over the ocean at one point, I don't think it could be seen as one big connected city. Just how close do areas have to be to one another to count, and how dense are they at their edges? We have articles such as Megaregions of the United States. That article actually makes sense since same nation, and it shows where most of the nation's population is located at. I see no point to this article though. Dream Focus 23:39, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
::Regions in Megaregions of the United States (which has the bonus of being an article not a list) include Southern California Megaregion which contains the Tijuana area of Mexico and Northern California Megaregion which includes the Nevada portion of Lake Tahoe so not sure what the argument is here? - Merge with Megalopolis. Just need one spot which list all the megalopolis in a single chart, instead of splitting them out all over the place like it does in that article at the moment. Dream Focus 00:17, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- Delete as unnecessary, unhelpful and unsourced WP:CONTENTFORK of Megalopolis. I would also support a merge and redirect but seeing how unsourced the article is I don't think this is needed. Vladimir.copic (talk) 00:18, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- Delete I agree the article is unnecessary. Dear Debasish (talk) 05:12, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
