Doesn't seem like a Wikipedia article. A lot of "We" in the article, and because of this (among other reasons) it would need to be fundamentally re-written in order to qualify for notability. ~ Preceding post created by larsona //Talk// 19:28, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
- Delete. Per WP:Original research. It reads a lot like an academic essay, which is not the appropriate tone for Wikipedia. If one really had a strong case for its notability, it either must be substantially rewritten, or better off as a subsection in the main History of Africa article. - Delete I'd say "academic essay" is giving it too much credit. Reads like a high school WP:ESSAY, which the author has then copied, quite badly, into Wikipedia. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 15:11, 21 November 2015 (UTC)

- Delete -- It is so bad it is hardly even an essay. It is badly written. If it has been better, one might have considered merging it as a historiography section in History of Africa article, but it is too dreadful for anything but deletion. Peterkingiron (talk) 18:16, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
- Delete, per nom. -- Notecardforfree (talk) 18:55, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
- Delete as a poor essay, not an encyclopedia article. Cordless Larry (talk) 11:44, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
- Keep I agree that this articles is poorly written, and needs more sources. But I don't think that's a reason to delete it, it just needs to be improved. There are a lot of other articles on misconceptions about various topics. I'm sure that a competent expert can easily find sources that give this articles its requisite notability. I've added a template saying the article is in need of an expert to improve it. Joseph Clay, Jr. (talk) 20:06, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
- Delete as unnecessary with other articles. This is a fork, and a poor one at that. DreamGuy (talk) 23:22, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
