fails WP:GNG. marked for notability concerns since January 2012. nothing in gnews and 2 of the 3 sources given are primary sources. google indicates sources mainly connected with oregonstate.edu LibStar (talk) 07:44, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
- Keep Multiple independent refs with in-depth non-trivial coverage from newspapers cited in the article. Major writer who is traveling for the awards ceremony. Unusual prize amount + major sponsor University of Oregon. Green Cardamom (talk) 16:14, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
- note the following has been amended [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AArticles_for_deletion%2FStone_Award_for_Lifetime_Literary_Achievement&action=historysubmit&diff=514343839&oldid=514249522], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AArticles_for_deletion%2FStone_Award_for_Lifetime_Literary_Achievement&diff=513909816&oldid=513898076] it is better to use strike through for changes. LibStar (talk) 23:54, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
: please provide sources. Unusual large prize amount is not a criterion for notability. LibStar (talk) 17:08, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
:: universities worldwide sponsor 10s of 1000s of awards. This does not advance notability. In-depth coverage in third party sources does which is lacking here. LibStar (talk) 03:29, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

- The prize itself does not appear to be notable (although it might become so in the future; it was only established last year). For now I would suggest a Merge/Redirect to Oregon State University. --MelanieN (talk) 21:07, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
