Vern Miyagi is arguably not in and of himself notable. I don't even think the contents of his article are even worthy for merging into 2018 Hawaii false missile alert. See WP:1E and WP:BLP1E. ✨ Ed talk! ✨ 06:03, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

- Weak Keep as he was apparently a Judo champion in his youth and received some coverage for that, which I think combined with his military career and the false alert satisfies WP:BASIC. Mztourist (talk) 09:05, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

- Keep. passes GNG with the sources provided I also found this [https://www.msnbc.com/weekends-with-alex-witt/watch/emergency-administrator-vern-miyagi-explains-hawaii-s-false-alarm-1136922179660 MSNBC news report on Hawaii]`~HelpingWorld~` (👽🛸) 05:43, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Keep The subject has been the focus on several of the provided sources, and has been interviewed by the MSNBC in the external link. Passes WP:GNG. But the [https://dod.hawaii.gov/hiema/contact-us/about-us/senior-staff-biographies/ first cited source] needs to be removed, since the site was updated and the subject is no longer referenced on there.
