Create redirects from human-curated list
Is it potentially appropriate to run AWB to create redirects in bulk? I have long lists of redirects I believe need to be created (and the lists are growing, growing, growing), so if there's any way that this could be appropriate, I'd like to discuss the details and see if it's workable and appropriate in this situation. :It is potentially appropriate. But I would suggest opening an RfC for any mass redirect creations. I have some experience being on the wrong side in this kind of situation, so my suggestion comes from a place of knowledge, not assumption. VanIsaac, GHTV contrabout 22:58, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
Quick fix of 58 NFL Draft things
This search:

::And {{done}}. I also found four additional pages to fix by varying the capitalization of "draft". VanIsaac, GHTV contrabout 16:08, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
:::Thanks. There are lots more contexts where NFL Draft should be fixed, if you're interested in helping more with that. For example [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=%22NFL+Draft%22+insource%3A%2F%5BIi%5Dn+the+%5B0-9%5D%2B+NFL+Draft%2F&title=Special%3ASearch&profile=advanced&fulltext=1&ns0=1&ns1=1&ns3=1&ns4=1&ns5=1 the search

:Looks like about [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=%22Emily+Weisband%22&title=Special%3ASearch&profile=advanced&fulltext=1&ns0=1 100 articles]. Primefac (talk) 15:17, 8 June 2025 (UTC)

:{{ping|TenPoundHammer}} {{done}} Links introduced to first occurrence of her in the articles, a good chunk of that 100 already had her linked already. Sophisticatedevening🍷(talk) 19:12, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
:Looking at the WP:FINDLINK [https://edwardbetts.com/find_link/Emily_Weisband result] there's quite a few articles left that could have the wikilink added too. Nobody (talk) 09:00, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
Articles using [[Template:inflation]] with CURRENTYEAR
It's recently come to my attention that many articles use {{tl|inflation}} but, rather than letting the inflation template figure out the year of the inflation data or using {{tl|inflation/year}}, they use the magic word
- Primarily, the inflation data is updated manuallly and the latest year in the inflation template for each country is not necessarily the current year (for example Template:Inflation/UK/dataset only goes up to 2023; also see the "end_year maximum" column of the "supported countries" table in the documentation for the {{tl|inflation}} template). Therefore, listing the current year causes inaccuracies.
- It may well make reuse of our content more difficult unnecessarily.
In general, a replacement string that should catch most of these expressed in plain English would be
Change name of infobox parameter on articles
Change articles containing the parameter "long" on :Category:Pages using infobox artifact with unknown parameters to "length". Thanks. RajanD100 (talk) 02:54, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
:{{done}} manually. It was only 24 articles. – Jonesey95 (talk) 03:10, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
