:* While :Category:History of the Ottoman Empire seems an obvious second merge target, former countries categories have the peculiarity that the entire former country category concerns history. :Nominator's rationale: very narrow topic. In fact, all classification references that are mentioned on the category page (JEL and MSN) regard much broader topics than convexity in economics. • Option B – the parent category is :Category:Organizations based in Angola and has been stable since 2009. Editors adding subcats should honour the parent and not muddy the waters by using their own personal preference. Oculi (talk) 08:47, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
• Option A -- Angola was a Portuguese colony, and should follow the usage for Portugal, which I would expect to follow British English. I expect that there is a cognate word in Portuguese and that it will be spelt with an "s". Greece should not be used as a precedent as Classical Greek has a lot of verbs ending izo.
