:Nominator's rationale: All these categories have nothing to do with bilateral, foreign, and/or international relations as the naming would suggest. The majority of the entries are subcats that have to do with people of Scottish heritage, diaspora, and emigrants, including expatriate sportspeople. The Poland category entries have mostly to do with relations related to the UK. As do all the other categories nominated regarding relations as modern relations of Scotland are through the UK. • Support - Jean-Marc Adjovi-Bocco is nothing to do with Benin–Scotland relations. Diplomats are part of bilateral relations but expatriate sportspeople (and emigrants in general) have no such role. Oculi (talk) 20:53, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
• Delete, redundant category layer when it just contains subcategories of expatriate people or people by descent. The Polish category does contain quite a few articles as well but it is quite a random collection that has little to do with relations between countries. Marcocapelle (talk) 04:19, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
• Delete -- These are not about diplomatic relations, because Scotland is not a sovereign country and has none, though there may be foreign consulates in Edinburgh or Glasgow to provide assistance to their citizens or with trade. Scotland-Poland relations might have covered pre-1603 ambassadors, but none are recorded. I say 1603, not 1707, because diplomatic relations were done by the king, not Parliament. New creation with no parents, no description, no main article and contains the likes of Mughal Empire, Akbar, Delhi Sultanate, Mamluk dynasty (Delhi), Nizam of Hyderabad and Indo-Persian culture. Article Mughal Empire clearly states that its founders were of Mongol origine, hence the name, and Nizam of Hyderabad makes no mention of Turkic at all, so this seems to be an indiscriminate collection of articles with nothing in common between them. • Comment - the local (country) tree is :Category:Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic people. WP:C2C in this tree takes priority over global trees (otherwise there is inconsistency everywhere). The answer is to rename :Category:Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic people first. Oculi (talk) 09:00, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
