:::Comment: I think that as long as the person requesting the username is aware there may be some baggage attached to it, it should be fine. :::@K6ka, @Cabayi, @Nihonjoe I don't think we should ever rename people to someone else's former username except in cases of usurpation. This is a security issue. Since users could have custom js pages and other people might be importing them and after the rename we just set redirect on those pages. So if rename someone else to such name, we are basically giving them access to those old js pages which can be used to excecute bad js on account importing those pages. This once has happened and we had discussion about it on Mailing List but I am not able to find the link to that discussion.
